Today is National Doughnut Day!

Not only is today Friday, but it's also National Doughnut Day! This yummy holiday was started by the Salvation Army back in 1938 to raise funds for "lassies" (the name of female volunteers who supported soldiers on the front lines of WWI) during the Great Depression.
